Employment

TMP is about helping Native America and part of that help is toward putting Native Americans back to work.

TMP will create thousands of jobs for Native peoples over the life-time of the project (directly or indirectly).

Additionally, TMP will increase commerce and goodwill for Native peoples businesses through cultural exposure and openness that fosters community-to-national level understanding and compassion for Native peoples and their unique and prized cultures.

TMP Employment Opportunities

Priority is given to Native Americans from federally recognized tribes who are tribal members in good standing. For operations in Canada, First Nations People are given priority under the same guidelines. However, all candidates will be considered per state and federal laws.

KTI does not discriminate on the bases of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or other aspects, however, indigenous cultures are granted additional rights to employment under federal laws that may or may not additionally qualify them for preferential treatment.

All candidates must be qualified for the positions offered to be considered.

*Terminology

We use the term Native People (NP) in the purely anthropological sense to denote "aboriginal people of the world,  which includes a wide variety of self-descriptive nomenclatures, including Canada's First Nations People, Native Americans, and many others of the American continents and Pacific Island groups and places of the world. When more specific descriptions are used, they will include current country of origin or commonly known tribal names (i.e. Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Dine, etc.).
