Ticci Man Project  (TMP)

Global Overview

The Ticci Man Project is a nonprofit project presented by Kon Ticci International ( www.konticci.org ).

We are proud to be a part of this ambitious project that seeks to bring greater issue awareness, respect, and equality to Native America.

Named in honor of Imajilan Picture's™ "Koto and the Ticci Man"  main character, Ticci Man, a bigger than life Indian hero, the Ticci Man Project (TMP) has many worthy components all designed to help us fulfill our mission.

The project's first major supporter is Imajilan Pictures™, which has pledged a portion of all profits from the Ticci Man television series and motion picture and related projects to TMP. We support IP not only for this aspect, but for its major social impacts in bringing the world its first Indian icon for the big and little screen---to show Native people---in fact all citizens of the world---that great heroes can come in all colors and ethnicities and equality for all should be given a chance to exist--especially in Hollywood's entertainment outputs.

There are several major components to the nonprofit Ticci Man Project and they include:

Nonprofit Aspect

  1. Televised Celebrity Fiesta For Native America in Hollywood
  2. Fund raiser diner and auction
  3. Celebrity photo shoot & artwork signing event
  4. Traveling Native Learning Center and Memorabilia Store

Additional Projected Benefits

  1. Positive industry transformation for Hollywood from better understanding the value of Native American talent, workers, culture, stories, and heroes and their respective audience appeals (as well as supreme profitability factors when content respects Native cultures).
  2. Positive social transformation in the Native American community by helping tribes unite to bring their collective messages and issues to the mainstream media while increasing the Indian tradition of sharing between tribes while dropping ancient rivalries that no longer serve a modern society or people.
  3. Positive social transformation in the world that begins to iconize Indian heroes and give higher levels of respect and consideration to Indians and tribes of the world, that they may better protect and preserve their habitats, people, cultures, traditions, and histories.
  4. Preservation of Indian cultures, histories, and artifacts from tribes around the world.
  5. Purchase of authentic Native American arts and craft for production props to be donated to cultural center or museum upon completion of filming.
  6. Filming on reservation lands.
  7. Employing NA craftsman to build location sets.
  8. Purchasing products and services from NA suppliers.
  9. Cross promotional opportunities for the nonprofit aspects, film, and series.
  10. Cross promotion with major industry, such as product manufacturers seeking to attach to the cultural support aspects of the project.
  11. Native American sponsorship of series episodes.
  12. Built in overseas markets, including Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, India, and China, etc.
  13. Major increase in awareness for modern NA issues and culture across the US and  Canada as well as internationally.
  14. Major step toward elimination of Native people stereotyping in major media and film.
  15. Major community and business assistance to impoverished reservations, NAs, and cultural centers across the US and Canada.
  16. Added pride for NA heritage and  revitalization of NA cultures within tribes (many are losing their cultures, traditions, languages, etc. on a mass scale).
  17. Expanded opportunity for NAs in the mainstream entertainment industry.
  18. Providing the world and NAs everywhere with the first world icon in entertainment--an Indian Superhero played by an actual Indian---imagine that!
  19. And more.

*Terminology

We use the term Native People (NP) in the purely anthropological sense to denote "aboriginal people of the world,  which includes a wide variety of self-descriptive nomenclatures, including Canada's First Nations People, Native Americans, and many others of the American continents and Pacific Island groups and places of the world. When more specific descriptions are used, they will include current country of origin or commonly known tribal names (i.e. Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Dine, etc.).
